# Is Windsurf down right now?

Short answer: this page checks windsurf.com from 24 locations on six continents right now. If most locations fail, Windsurf is down for everyone; if only a few fail, the problem is regional; if every location answers, Windsurf is up and the problem is probably between you and the site. Check Windsurf now Windsurf is an AI coding editor that adds an assistant to a code editor. When its servers fail, the assistant stops answering, sign-in fails, and features that need the cloud stop working. Editing local files can keep working. ## Windsurf status page The official Windsurf status page is status.windsurf.com. It shows what Windsurf reports, including incidents and the state of each component, and it is the source of truth. This page is independent: Uptrack is not affiliated with Windsurf. It requests windsurf.com from 24 locations itself, so it shows what we see from outside. It does not test sign-in or API calls. This page requests windsurf.com from 24 locations on six continents at the same time. Each location reports the HTTP status code and the response time. When most locations fail, Windsurf is down for everyone. When only a few fail, the problem is regional. When every location gets an answer, Windsurf is up and the problem is probably between you and the site. ### What should I do if Windsurf is down for me only? Reload without the browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac) or open windsurf.com in a private window. Flush your DNS cache, or switch to a public DNS resolver such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. Turn your VPN or proxy off, or on, to take a different route, and try mobile data instead of Wi-Fi to rule out your ISP. If other sites fail too, contact your ISP. ### Where is the official Windsurf status page? The official Windsurf status page is status.windsurf.com. It shows what the company reports and is the source of truth for incidents it confirms. This page is independent: Uptrack is not affiliated with Windsurf. It requests the public website windsurf.com itself, so it can show a problem before the status page changes. It does not test sign-in or API calls, so use the official page for those. ### How do I get an alert when Windsurf is down? Many vendors let you subscribe on their official status page, and that tells you what the vendor confirms. To learn about a failure on your side, add an HTTP monitor in Uptrack for the address your app depends on. It checks every 30 seconds and alerts you by email or chat when a check fails. Paid plans check from several locations and alert only when several of them confirm the failure. See the pricing page for plans. To get an alert instead of checking by hand, read [what uptime monitoring is](https://uptrack.app/blog/what-is-uptime-monitoring), see [how Uptrack monitors a site](https://uptrack.app/features/uptime-monitoring) or compare the [plans](https://uptrack.app/pricing). ## Check other services [ChatGPT](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/chatgpt.com) [OpenAI](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/openai.com) [Claude](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/claude.ai) [Anthropic](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/anthropic.com) [Gemini](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/gemini.google.com) [Microsoft Copilot](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/copilot.microsoft.com) [Midjourney](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/midjourney.com) [Character AI](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/character.ai) [Hugging Face](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/huggingface.co) [Mistral AI](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/mistral.ai) [DeepSeek](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/deepseek.com) [Grok](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/grok.com) [Poe](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/poe.com) [ElevenLabs](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/elevenlabs.io) [Runway](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down/runwayml.com) [All services](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down#services) [Check any site →](https://uptrack.app/tools/is-website-down)
