Is Internet Archive down right now?
The Internet Archive is a nonprofit digital library that runs the Wayback Machine and hosts books, music, video and software. When it has trouble, Wayback snapshots do not load, pages cannot be saved, borrowed books do not open and downloads fail.
Common questions
Is Internet Archive down right now?
This page requests archive.org from 22 locations on six continents at the same time. Each location reports the HTTP status code and the response time. When most locations fail, Internet Archive is down for everyone. When only a few fail, the problem is regional. When every location gets an answer, Internet Archive is up and the problem is probably between you and the site.
What should I do if Internet Archive is down for me only?
Reload without the browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac) or open archive.org in a private window. Flush your DNS cache, or switch to a public DNS resolver such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. Turn your VPN or proxy off, or on, to take a different route, and try mobile data instead of Wi-Fi to rule out your ISP. If other sites fail too, contact your ISP.
