Two approaches to escalation

Already using PagerDuty? Connect it via webhooks. Starting fresh? Uptrack includes built-in escalation policies that handle most use cases without an extra tool.

Route to PagerDuty

Use Uptrack's webhook integration to send alerts to PagerDuty's Events API v2. Triggers incidents, respects your escalation policies and on-call schedules.

Use Uptrack escalation

Built-in escalation policies with multi-step alert chains. If the first responder does not acknowledge, Uptrack escalates to the next contact via SMS, email, or Slack.

How to set up PagerDuty integration

1

Get your PagerDuty integration key

In PagerDuty, create a new service or use an existing one. Go to Integrations > Events API v2 and copy the integration key.

2

Create a webhook channel in Uptrack

Add a webhook alert channel pointing to https://events.pagerduty.com/v2/enqueue with your integration key in the payload template.

3

Assign monitors and test

Attach the PagerDuty channel to critical monitors. Trigger a test alert to verify the full escalation chain works.

What you get

  • PagerDuty Events API v2 integration via webhooks
  • Triggers PagerDuty incidents with full Uptrack context
  • Respects your existing escalation policies and schedules
  • Auto-resolve incidents when monitors recover
  • Built-in Uptrack escalation as a simpler alternative
  • Multi-step alert chains: email, Slack, SMS
  • Available on Pro plan and above
