How to set up SMS & phone alerts

Add your phone number

In Uptrack, create a new alert channel and select SMS or Phone Call. Enter your phone number with country code and verify via OTP.

Assign to critical monitors

Attach SMS/phone alerts only to your most critical monitors. Use consecutive failure thresholds to avoid burning quota on transient errors.

Set escalation order

Use SMS as the second or third step in an escalation policy. Start with Slack/email, escalate to SMS if unacknowledged, then phone call.
