Is Apple Music down right now?

Apple Music is Apple's music streaming service, used in the Music app on Apple devices and in the browser at music.apple.com. During outages, songs will not play, the library stops syncing between devices and the web player cannot sign in, so the 22-location check covers that web player.

Common questions

Is Apple Music down right now?

This page requests music.apple.com from 22 locations on six continents at the same time. Each location reports the HTTP status code and the response time. When most locations fail, Apple Music is down for everyone. When only a few fail, the problem is regional. When every location gets an answer, Apple Music is up and the problem is probably between you and the site.

What should I do if Apple Music is down for me only?

Reload without the browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac) or open music.apple.com in a private window. Flush your DNS cache, or switch to a public DNS resolver such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. Turn your VPN or proxy off, or on, to take a different route, and try mobile data instead of Wi-Fi to rule out your ISP. If other sites fail too, contact your ISP.
